Michelle highlighted We are the middle of forever : Indigenous voices from Turtle Island on the changing Earth, edited by Dahr Jamail and Stan Rushworth. This collection of essays is a powerful, intimate collection of conversations with Indigenous Americans on the climate crisis and the Earth’s future.
I shared Leah Myers’ Thinning blood : a memoir of family, myth, and identity. Leah combines Native American Folklore, family history, and her personal story about being the last member of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe in her family line, due to her tribe’s strict blood quantum laws.
