eLibrary Help

1. Install the CloudLibrary app from the app store on your Android or iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) device.
2. In CloudLibrary, follow the prompts to find the library and sign in with a valid Cook Memorial Public Library District card.
3. Tap on the Search icon to search or browse the collection.
4. Borrowed items appear under My Books and download to the app automatically when you’re on Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you’re offline.

Tips:

• The CloudLibrary app also stores your library barcode to use with our self-check scanners in the library. You can store multiple library cards in the CloudLibrary app.
• Turn on Kids Mode by visiting settings and toggling on the Kids Mode switch towards the bottom of the list. Kids Mode can be turned off by following the same steps.

FYI:

• You can have 5 titles checked out and 10 titles on hold at a time in CloudLibrary.
• Titles check out for 3 weeks and automatically return themselves, though you can choose to return an item early.
• You can renew a title as long as there is not a hold. You will get the option to renew in the app a few days before the title is due.

1. Install the Hoopla app from the app store on your Android or iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) device.
2. In Hoopla, tap on Don’t have an account? Sign Up and follow the prompts to create an account with a valid Cook Memorial Public Library District card. If you already have an account, log in with your email address and password.
3. Search or browse the collection and check out a title.
4. Borrowed items will appear on the My Hoopla section.
5. Titles will return themselves at the end of their check out period.

You can check out 10 items per month in Hoopla.

Hoopla has a wide variety of formats with differing checkout lengths:

• eBooks – 3 weeks
• Video – 3 days
• eAudiobooks – 3 weeks
• Music – 1 week
• Comics – 3 weeks
• BingePass – 1 week

BingePasses offer a week of unlimited access for a specific section of Hoopla with one checkout. The
following BingePasses are available:

• Magazines
• CuriosityStream
• The Great Courses
• Hallmark Movies Now
• Hellosaurus
• The Highlights Collection

1. Install the Libby app from the app store on your Android or iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) device. Or, visit libbyapp.com in your Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge Browser.
2. In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a valid Cook Memorial Public Library District card.
3. Browse our collection and borrow a title.
4. Borrowed items appear on your shelf (the icon of a stack of books) and download to the app automatically when you’re on Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you’re offline.

Tips

On your Shelf, tap loans at the top of the screen. From there, you can:

• Tap Read with… to choose whether you’d like to open a book in Kindle or Libby.
• Tap Open in Libby to start reading or listening on the app.
• Tap Manage Loan to see options like Renew Loan and Return Early.

FYI

You can have 5 titles checked out and 10 titles on hold at a time in Libby.

Titles automatically return themselves.
