Dear Readers,

Something exciting has happened in the Children's Department at

Cook Park and I just can't wait to tell you about it!!!!  We have

turned a small room into a big area of play for kids up to six years

of age. 

The room is called the

EARLY

      LITERACY

            CENTER

and it is open for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and those

up to age six...with a care-giver/parent, of course!  In this

room there are games to play, manipulatives to handle,

language experiences to share and more!  Each month we'll

feature a theme for exploration and this month's theme is

C   O    L   O    R   S

The Early Literacy Center will be open on Fridays, Saturdays

and Sundays.  Come on over and enjoy time playing together

with your child.  And, yes, learning is also going on at the same

time!!!
