Dear Readers,
Did you do it? Did you cross the SUMMER READING CLUB
"One World, Many Stories" finish line? If so, congratulations!!!

I thought you might like to know something about how many
people joined our reading club...and how many finished the
club requirements. Ready? (Keep in mind that there are
those who are still coming in daily to finish up.)
The good news is that over half of all the people in all age
groups finished! In the birth - second grade age group,
1,852 young people joined, and 1,238 finished the club and
collected great prizes and books. Third - sixth graders
(1,563) signed up in droves, and of those 834 completed the
club. Teens in 7th - 12 grade (547) had half finishing the
club. And adults? Out of 1,139 participants, 587 completed
the club requirenments and walked away with special coupons.
Including yours truly who loved eating dinner out at Cafe
Pyrenees with a coupon to save on a delicious meal there!
Ah, summer. Almost over, but aren't you so glad you had
time to read books, watch DVD's, listen to music AND
join a club with all sorts of others just like you who love
the library? We thank you for your participation!!!
Patting you on the back,
Paige Turner!
