Curious About George?

Howdy There, Cook Friends!
Were you able to be one of the 200 people who came to Aspen this past weekend to have your picture taken with Curious George? And did you shake hands with the Man in the Yellow Hat? What fun!
Did you know that the author of the Curious George books, along with his wife Margaret, went by the name HA Rey - but his real name was Hans Augusto? I found out tons of information on him by going to our library database (RESEARCH A TOPIC) under the L's in the Literature Resource Center. I just typed up his name and zippety zip zip - tons of cool information appeared! How cool is it that as a boy Hans lived in Germany near the Hagenbeck Zoo and it was there he watched the crazy antics of monkeys! Many years later, HA Rey would remember these visits and dream up Curious George and all his adventures (and trouble) writing several books that have now reached around the world and have been translated into twelve languages.
Come on over to our library to find a Curious George book, kit, CD or DVD! We have over 150 items in our collection, so you are surely able to find something that suits you whether you wear a yellow hat or pants or not!
Curiously Yours,
Paige Turner !
