Cook Memorial Public Library History
Cook Memorial Public Library District has grown from humble beginnings as a shelf of books in the local drugstore in 1909 to a library district with two full-service buildings in Libertyville and Vernon Hills, plus a digital collection, Bookmobile and Outreach staff that provide library service to a population of 60,000. We are proud of our history and invite you to explore more in the links listed below.
